More appropriate for a graveyard …

I love old tractors. When I look at these photos, I also think of all the projects a creative person could pursue with some of those fascinating parts – garden art, birdhouses, on and on. Good find. 🙂

I agree Judy, there is a lot of potential here. I will keep an eye on them to see what happens to them.

May they rust in peace – that’s so funny (though not for the tractors).

Nice collection of photos, Denzil. Would this old machinery be worth anything?

It must be, Carol, if only for their scrap value. Funnily enough, later on the same day I was walking through a village about 10 km away and a white van was trawling the streets asking (in a very loud message conveyed through a loudspeaker) for scrap metal, old fridges, cookers, pans, motors, bikes etc. I felt like saying “just go south for 10 km and it will like Treasure Island for you!”

Ha! Those people at the tractor graveyard are sitting on a small fortune and they don’t know it!

Yes, I’m thinking of going into the scrap metal business

At least you know where there is a good supply. ☺

I like how you move from wide angles, and context of the subject to closer ones. Very observing post, Denzil. I am glad you discovered my challenge. Thank you.

Thanks Paula, I am aware that the resolution or texture or whatever isn’t the best. It’s just a compact digital camera and I haven’t worked out how to set it for the best B/W photos, but as you have a biweekly challenge I better start to learn!

🙂 your photos are good, Denzil. Do you shoot as black and white or you convert them in post processing?

I changed the setting on the camera (Lumix TZ70) to “Dynamic Monochrome” to take all these pictures, and did not do any post-processing.

That’s cool. I tend to take everything in colour, to see later how it works in both options. I enjoy post-processing.

But where is this place?? Your comment has only brackets… nothing in them!

Well spotted Marion! It was a link that didn’t quite work. I’ve amended it now. It’s close to Florival

Wonderful photos Denzil. Imagine the stories behind these old tractors, there must be so much history there. Great play on words too, love the title. 😊

Thanks Miriam. I am surprised a scrap dealer hasn’t been around; there must be some valuable metal there.

What a fantastic collection of photographs, it’s odd how appealing the subject is and your choice of B&W is great.
